Day 3 of my Daisy by Brand New illustration journey focuses on the song “Bed.” This piece draws from the lyric, “I don’t know what you feel like / Ambushed on the road, stole your gold / You’re a rose and you’re laughing now.”

The design reflects a playful yet bittersweet contrast—a rose in full bloom, vibrant and defiant, laughing through whatever it’s endured. The simplicity of the composition is a nod to the aesthetic of vintage risograph prints and old-school tattoo designs, with textures enhanced by brushes from @retrosupply

This series is a visual exploration of the raw emotions and layered meanings within Daisy, using bold colors, minimalistic elements, and an appreciation for nostalgic design techniques.
