Day 15: Beacons

Day 15: Beacons

“I was floating there for so long
King of nothing, but the space I take up
I felt it all at once...”

For today’s piece, I really leaned into the idea of being weightless yet tethered—adrift in space, crowned with nothing, and overwhelmed by the sun’s presence. This is my take on “Beacons” by Foxing, capturing that strange feeling of existing without purpose but feeling everything all at once.

Visually, I pushed myself outside my comfort zone, trying to emulate a mid-century modern graphic design aesthetic—something I haven’t really experimented with before this series. It’s been an interesting challenge to translate the raw emotion of Draw Down the Moon into this style, but I’m loving where it’s taking me.

Would love to hear what you see or feel in this one. Drop your thoughts below!
